Newspaper Headlines: States accuse FG of sabotaging power sector decentralisation

The Nation reports that the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) says it has discontinued the issuance of tax exemption certificates to all categories of taxpayers, including pioneer status companies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and entities operating in free trade zones. The paper adds that Vice-President Kashim Shettima says Nigeria has committed $538.05 million to the first phase of the special agro-industrial processing zones (SAPZs), creating over 785,000 jobs.
Daily Independent reports that the federal government has announced plans to revive the Kaduna textile industry as part of a broader industrialisation drive aimed at ensuring inclusive national development.
