The scarcity of the naira and the hardship it has caused Nigerians dominated the front pages of national dailies.

Punch reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has cosigned Nigerians to seven more days of hardship over naira redesign. The newspaper reports that Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said naira and petrol hoarders plotting interim government.

The Guardian reports that Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has ruled out further extension of the naira swap deadline. The newspaper highlights the anguish Nigerians face as petrol, and naira scarcity persists.

Daily Independent reports that Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture, met with Google, and Facebook officials on curbing fake news. The newspaper says CUPP alleged a plot to compromise the recruitment of INEC ad hoc staff.

The Sun reports why the G-5 governors haven’t endorsed any presidential candidate. The newspaper reports that the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) said they haven’t endorsed any presidential candidate.
