The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) electoral appeals committee chairman has nullified the election of Amaju Pinnick as the federation’s president.
Okey Ajunwa, the chairman of the committee, ruled that one of the presidential aspirant in the September 30 elections, Shehu Dikko, was wrongfully disqualified, hence the decision to annul the presidential election.
The ruling came barely 24 hours after the committee upheld the poll conducted in Warri.
But Ajunwa while nullifying the election, accused the three other committee members who earlier upheld it of being ignorant of the law.

“None of them is a lawyer, I am the lawyer and I know the law, I have gathered the results of the committee and I will read them out in accordance to FIFA and CAF rules,” Ajunwa told reporters in Abuja on Thursday.
“The Elections of Amaju Pinnick is hereby nullified and he is been banned from parading himself as the President of the Nigeria Football Federation.”
But members of the committee dismissed Ajunwa’s position on the election.

Speaking in Abuja, the members lampooned Ajunwa and stated that they are merely holding back from revealing the much they know about how he has, unfortunately, conducted himself since he was appointed to head the committee.
“Barr. Ajunwa failed in several aspects in this assignment. He failed to invoke the meeting of the Electoral Appeals Committee and it was when time had ran out on the appeals that he woke up suddenly to call for a hearing,” the members said.
