Teen Ambassadors Foundation (TAF), a non-governmental organisation (NGO), says it will partner with IAEC University in Togo to equip youths in Nigeria with innovative skills.
Paul Adiwu, chief executive officer (CEO) of the foundation, said this in a statement after he was conferred with an honourary doctorate in public administration by the IAEC governing council.
According to Adiwu, the objectives of the university conforms with the mission of empowering the “next generation of leaders” with innovative skills to excel.
“It is very satisfying to see the achievements of this institution since its inception in 1986. This institution has constantly upheld its core values by equipping students with the knowledge, leadership skills and values that resonate with the demands of the 21st century,” he said.
“This has ensured that the graduates of this institution are well-prepared to meet and overcome the challenges of our dynamic society.
“Over the years, IAEC University has committed itself to raising and empowering the next generation of change-makers and world leaders who will champion change and lead in whatever industry they find themselves in.
“As the director-general of Teen Ambassadors Foundation, the objectives of this great institution appeals to me due to its conformity with the goals of Teen Ambassadors Foundation.
“As a non-governmental organisation, this foundation, among others, empowers the next generation of leaders with opportunities to connect with like-minded peers, trailblazers and influencers to develop global confidence and critical skills, and to transform their visions for a better future through innovative action.
“We shall be collaborating with the IAEC University in pursuit of our objectives.”
Adiwu said the education level of youths needs to be “continuously” raised to enable them to compete with their peers globally.
“The world is changing very fast and the level of education has gone up considerably across the globe. Thus, even as we celebrate our accomplishments as an institution, we must continually raise the education and skills level of the people to be globally competitive,” he said.
“Our work is far from over, but what we have accomplished so far has made a difference in the lives of thousands.
“Therefore, let’s roll up our sleeves and continue this journey with more dedication and determination than ever.”
