Nigeria fail to beat Cameroon again in Austria
The Super Eagles of Nigeria and Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have played a goalless draw in the second match of their double-header friendly.
Both teams faced off again at the Stadion Wiener Neustadt, Vienna in Austria on Tuesday afternoon.
The first leg on Friday saw the Eagles handed a 1-0 defeat by Cameroon, thanks to Andre Anguissa’s solitary goal.
Gernot Rohr made two changes to his Friday’s starting eleven as Valentine Ozonwafor and Ahmed Musa replaced William Troost-Ekong and Oghenekaro Etebo.
Cameroon dominated possession and had more scoring chances than the Eagles in the first half which ended 0-0.
In the second stanza, Rohr brought on Terem Moffi, Abraham Marcus and Anayo Iwuala for Paul Onuachu, Jamilu Collins and Musa to spice things up for the three-time African champions.
The Super Eagles, however, failed to score in the two consecutive matches against the Antonio Conceicao da Silva Oliveira boys.
