Nigeria dropped a place in the latest FIFA Ranking released on Thursday.

The African champions failed to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Equatorial Guinea hence this downward mobility on the ranking from 42nd to 43rd position.

The Super Eagles remain, though, in the top 10 in Africa in ninth position.

Algeria is the top ranked side in Africa and in 18th position globally while Tunisia in 22nd position is second in Africa.

Ivory Coast dropped four places in the global ranking to 28th position and third in Africa.

Zambia, meanwhile, made a huge jump up the standings, climbing 16 places to sit 46th in the world, while they are now in the top 10 on the continent.

In the women’s ranking, the Super Falcons like the Super Eagles dropped a place from 34th to 35ft position.
