Nigeria tech summit to hold on Dec 3

The second annual Nigeria technology summit, organised by the global startup ecosystem, will hold between between 9am and 5pm on December 3.

The event is hosted in partnership with accelerator partners IBM Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Sendgrid, among others.

In a statement, the organisers said the free live event, is being sponsored by the United States embassy.

According to the organisers, the eight-hour programme will feature 100 speakers and partners, and 5000 attendees.

“Earlier this year the Global Startup Ecosystem hosted Nigeria’s first and largest digital entrepreneurship accelerator in partnership with Forbes Magazine supporting 200 Nigerian SME/Startups,” the statement read.

“This free live summit event will welcome hundreds of digital delegates from across Nigeria and around the world to discuss the future of employment, entrepreneurship, and education in Nigeria as the country faces its highest level of youth unemployment and civic unrest.

“Insights and initiatives leveraging tech and innovative inclusive ways to accelerate the future of Nigeria will be discussed.”

The organisers said startups and SME companies can submit applications to get pre training for the programme here.

The multi-year programme will take place annually until 2030.
