Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives, has hailed President Bola Tinubu on his inauguration into office.

Tinubu, who was elected on February 25, took the oath of office on Monday.

In a statement released by Lanre Lasisi, his special adviser on media, Gbajabiamila said Nigeria has taken off on a good footing after the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said the country will truly witness “renewed hope” as captured in Tinubu’s inaugural speech where he promised Nigerians that he will govern and not rule them.

Gbajabiamila said Tinubu is a “dogged fighter, democrat, unifier and nationalist” who won’t govern below expectations.

“It has been a long walk. But with determination, resilience, tenacity, and doggedness, the Almighty God has made it possible,” he said.

“Nigerians have spoken and today, we are witnessing the inauguration of one of our finest and most strategic politicians in history as Nigeria’s president.
