Nigeria-born Oladipo to compete in NBA All-Star slam dunk contest
Victor Oladipo, a Nigeria-born Indiana Pacer player, will compete in the 2018 NBA All-star slam dunk contest.
The slam dunk contest is an annual NBA competition held during the All-Star Weekend. It entails three-point shooting and skills challenge.
It will be the second time Oladipo, a former Oklahoma City Thunder player, will be participating in the contest.
He came second behind Zach LaVine in his first-ever appearance in the slam dunk contest in 2015.
Oladipo will be competing against the likes of Aaron Gordon of Orlando Magic, Larry Nance Jr of the Los Angeles Lakers and Dennis Smith Jr of the Dallas Mavericks.
Past Indiana Pacers’ winners include reigning champion, Glenn Robinson who is out due to injury, as well as Fred Jones and Darnell Hillman.
The contest will hold on February 17.
