The football federation of China (CFF), has advertised a job vacancy for interested candidates around the world, including Nigeria coaches, to manage their senior men national football team.

The country recently sacked Frenchman, Alian Perrin, following series of poor performances in the Asian qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The job specifications posted on the association’s website, and written in Mandarin and roughly translated, requires applicants to have good knowledge of football, relevant coaching qualifications and good communications skills.

The job posting provides information on the position and direction on how to submit an application before the deadline of January 29.

Perrin was sacked last Friday after leading the country through a difficult World Cup qualification campaign which placed them third in the group C of the second qualifying round on 11 points from six games.

China is fighting for a place in Russia, its first since and second-ever World Cup appearance since they appeared in Korea/Japan 2002.

Ali Boumnijel of Tunisia and Frenchman, Christian Jahan, are first and second assistant managers of the team and remain the only non-Chinese officials after the sack of Perrin.

According to the post, the position is open to any coach who fulfills the specifications which could be an opportunity for 2015 Chile U-17 World Cup, Emmanuel Amuneke who turned down the offer of a new contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to continue as manager of the team.

Amuneke had stated he turned down the offer as he was looking forward a new challenge beyond the youth team.
