Some Nigerians residing in Canada, under the aegis of PTB4Nigeria in Canada group, will host a Democracy Day dialogue with Tunde Bakare, overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, formerly Latter Rain Assembly.

In 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari declared June 12 as the new date for Democracy Day.

The online conversation with the theme ‘Rethinking The Nigerian State’ will hold via Zoom, and will be streamed live via Youtube from 7pm, Nigerian time, on Saturday.

“Dr. Tunde Bakare, in our view, is a nationalist and patriot whose interventions have consistently provided pathways to a new Nigeria,” Adebayo Adejuwon, convener of the event, said in a statement.
