Amazon has selected AGS Tribe, a Lagos based women-focused organisation, to lead its search for female talent from Africa.

Amazon said its partnership with AGS Tribe, a credible organisation based in Nigeria with a diverse pool of female professionals, is perfectly positioned to introduce more female talents to its engineering services team.

The recruitment partnership is part of efforts to drive diversity and inclusion, the company added.

Ifedayo Duronsinmi-Etti, founder of AGS Tribe, said the organisation would recruit candidates to fill several roles for Amazon, such as program and project managers, engineers, business analysts, interns, among others.

“I’m excited to announce that my company AGS Tribe is Amazon FIRST recruitment partner in Nigeria for Young African Female Talent for the EU region!” she said.

“Amazon is passionate about diversity and inclusion being at the top of mind of all they do.

“We have built an amazing community of over 14,000 female professionals and entrepreneurs from all across Africa! This partnership is perfect and a win-win for both organisations as we are on a mission to empower 1,000,000 women by 2025!”

“All roles available will be announced on our AGS Tribe mobile app on our Job board as usual in the next few weeks!”

The AGS Tribe app was launched in December 2020 with an opportunity board that showcases opportunities from around the world. These openings include potential job roles, funding, fellowships, scholarships and more.

In April, AGS Tribe, ElectHER, and African Women on Board (AWB) partnered to launch a $1 million fund to support Nigerian women seeking to run for elective office in 2023.
