Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti state, says Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity.

In a press statement issued by Ahmad Sajoh, head of the Fayemi media office, the ex-minister said despite the nation’s travails, Nigerians have kept the country strong.

He called for peace, unity, and a renewed commitment to national development.

“Our strength as a nation lies in our diversity and our determination to build a better tomorrow. Though we have faced challenges, our ability to rise above adversity gives hope that Nigeria’s best days are ahead,” Fayemi said.

“At a time like this, we must resist all attempts to divide us along ethnic or sectional lines. We are stronger together, and only through unity can we achieve the greatness that our founding fathers envisioned.”

Fayemi urged Nigerians to commit themselves to building a more prosperous, just, and inclusive nation by drawing inspiration from the sacrifices of past generations.

He charged leaders at all levels to provide visionary and selfless leadership that will inspire hope and confidence in the Nigerian project.

“As we celebrate this independence anniversary, let us renew our faith in Nigeria and in one another. Let us continue to work for peace, progress, and national unity,” he added.

“With unity, understanding, and resilience, we will overcome our present difficulties and create a brighter future for generations yet unborn.”
