Nigeria’s opponent, Iran, second to arrive Brazil

The Super Eagles of Nigeria’s Group F opponents, Iran, were the second country to arrive Brazil for the global showpiece kicking off next week.

According to a FIFA statement on Wednesday, Iran landed at the Sao Paulo International Airport, Brazil, at 4:10p.m. on Tuesday.

Australia, the first of the 32 teams to land in Brazil , had arrived last week.

Upon arrival in Sao Paulo, Iran coach, Carlos Queiroz, said that his team would do everything possible to have a successful campaign at the World Cup.

“As we came from the other side of the world, we arrived earlier to start our preparation,” he told FIFA.com.

“We have earned the rights to play against the best. Now, it is time to do it. We have 90 minutes in each game, and we will use them the best way.”

Iran will start their World Cup campaign against Nigeria on June 16 in Curitiba, after which they face Argentina on June 21 and Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 25.
