The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Centre for Cultural Savvy & Leadership Development (CCSLD Consulting) to advance national unity and strengthen leadership capacity across Nigeria.

The organisations announced the collaboration after a meeting between CCSLD officials and Ayo Omotayo, director-general of NIPSS, in Abuja.

CCSLD focuses on equipping leaders with cultural and emotional intelligence, while NIPSS is Nigeria’s foremost institution for policy research and strategic leadership development.

The partnership is geared towards hosting WEAVE Nigeria 2026, a national conference aimed at improving cross-cultural understanding, promoting inclusive leadership and strengthening national identity beyond ethnic and regional lines. The event will also focus on interfaith unity.

Osoba Otaigbe, convener of WEAVE Nigeria and CEO of CCSLD,said Nigeria was at “a defining moment” and stressed the need to turn the country’s diversity into a unifying force.

“Our differences must no longer divide us. They must become the threads that weave a stronger, more united nation,” Otaigbe said.

Omotayo welcomed the initiative, saying Nigeria’s leaders must regard diversity as a national asset.

He added that the collaboration aligns with ongoing efforts to strengthen national cohesion under the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“For Nigeria to thrive, those in positions of influence must see diversity as a national asset. We are pleased to collaborate with CCSLD Consulting on a platform that advances unity, dialogue, and development,” Omotayo said.

“National cohesion through cultural and interfaith unity is no doubt a strategic imperative for sustained development under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”

The conference, scheduled for 2026, will feature keynote sessions, panel discussions, leadership workshops and action-planning forums.
