Nnamdi Kanu visits Ekwueme in Enugu

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Wednesday, met with Alex Ekwueme, former vice-president of Nigeria.

Ekwueme was vice-president between  1979 and 1983.

He received Kanu in his Enugu residence.

The IPOB leader, since his release from Kuje Prison, has visited some prominent Nigerians.

On May 1, he visited Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of Aviation, in his Abuja home.

Over the weekend, Kanu also visited the Biafran Cenotaph in Enugu, where he reportedly paid respect to fallen Biafran fighters who died during the Nigeria -Biafra civil war.

An Abuja high court granted him bail last month.

Part of his bail conditions is not to appear in a gathering of more than ten persons. He was also mandated not to speak to the press.

He has been on the forefront for the demand of a sovereign state of Biafra.
