The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has appointed new executive vice-presidents for its upstream, downstream, and gas and power operations.

Garba Deen Muhammad, NNPC spokesperson, announced the management changes in a statement on Saturday.

He said the changes are in accordance with the company’s commitment and push for organisational renewal.

“In line with NNPC Ltd’s commitment and drive for organisational renewal, anchored on our business imperatives, standards of excellence, people development, and strengthening our competencies and capabilities through broad-based leadership exposures, the company wishes to announce the following executive appointments with immediate effect,” he said.

The new executives, Muhammad said, are Oritsemeyiwa A. Eyesan, executive vice-president, upstream; Olalekan Ogunleye, executive vice-president, gas, and new energy; and Adedapo Segun, executive vice-president, downstream.

Prior to the new appointments, Adokiye Tombomieye, Abdulkabir Ahmed, and Adeyemi Adetunji had held the respective positions of executive vice-president, upstream; executive vice-president, gas, and new energy; and executive vice-president, downstream.

In July 2022, former President Muhammadu Buhari unveiled Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) Limited, officially transforming the oil firm from a state-run oil corporation to a commercial venture.
