Ajuji Ahmed
The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has re-elected Ajuji Ahmed as its national chairman.
Ahmed was re-elected on Saturday at the party’s national convention in Abuja to serve for another four years.
The NNPP also re-elected other members of the national working committee (NWC), including Abba Kawu, deputy national chairman north; Onu Nwaze, deputy national chairman south; Dipo Olayokun, national secretary; and Oladipo Johnson, national publicity secretary.
Others are Ibrahim Muhammad, deputy national secretary; Bala Mohammed, national organising secretary; Ahmed Balewa, national treasurer; Akpan Ekan, national financial secretary; Maryam Yasin, national woman leader; Muhammad Musa, national youth leader; Magaji Ibrahim, national legal adviser; and Mustapha Danhajia, national welfare secretary.

They also include Sadiq Abubakar, national auditor; Bashir Abacha, national liaison officer; Shehu Bello, national vice chairman north-west; Abubakar Abdulrahman, national vice chairman north-central; Stanley Ijeh, national vice chairman south-south; Ademola Ayaode, national vice chairman south-west; Collins Onuoha, national vice chairman south-east; and Abdulrahman Auwal, representative of persons with disabilities.
Also elected were Moses Okoh, deputy national organising secretary; Solape Olatuboson, deputy national woman leader; Fredrick Mbasi, deputy national youth leader 1; Chidiobi Jenny, deputy national youth leader 2; Fatai Batola, deputy national welfare secretary; Bush Adomson, deputy national auditor; Saleh Bade, deputy national financial secretary; and Chubisi Emmanuel, deputy national treasurer.
Others are Mike Ogienomho Imakhu, deputy national legal adviser; Dalhatu Ibrahim, deputy national publicity secretary; Halima Dongoyaro, deputy representative of corporate bodies; Magandi Ibrahim, ex-officio north-west; Tanko Yakubu, ex-officio north-east; Robert Hon, ex-officio north-central; Anele Clement, ex-officio south-south; Ikechukwu Nnahasi, ex-officio south-east; and Olowokakoko Clement, ex-officio south-west.

Bala Mohammedo, chairman of the national convention planning committee, said the election was conducted in accordance with due process and the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
On his part, Ahmed said the NNPP has been “repositioned, restructured and strengthened” as a major stakeholder in the nation’s democratic process.
“All eyes are on our great party to point the way forward for sustainable democracy and development in Nigeria,” he said.
“Our country deserves a fresh start, and citizens deserve a fresh new deal which only NNPP is capable of offering.”

Also speaking, Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano and leader of the NNPP, commended the elected officials and urged them to be disciplined and loyal to the party.
