Home-based Super Eagles of Nigeria tackle Ghana U-23 team in a friendly match in Uyo on Friday, but coach of the visitors, Malik Jabir, has revealed that it is never a friendly affair whenever Nigeria meets Ghana.
Jabir, the former technical director of Kano Pillars, expects a fiery encounter despite both sides not fielding their key players.
“We are taking this game very seriously because you know when ever Ghana play Nigeria it’s always very intense,” Jabir told GHANASoccernet.com
“You will see that after all the pleasantries are done, the two teams will try to win the game. The truth is when it comes to Ghana against Nigeria, there is nothing like friendly games; we are going for it.”

The game is the highlight of the opening ceremony of the commissioning of the Akwa Ibom Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, the same venue of Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with South Africa on November 19, 2014.
