The #NotTooYoungToRun movement (NTYTR) says it will increase the number of youths with competence in elective office to at least 30% by 2023.

In a statement issued after its leadership and strategy retreat, the movement said it has designed new models and scenarios for the 2023 elections.

The #NotTooYoungToRun movement, coordinated by YIAGA Africa, also said it will build a grassroots movement of five million people and expand its programmes across 25 African countries.

In 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari signed the “Not Too Young To Run” bill into law. The bill was initiated to reduce age qualification to hold elective office in the country.
