A number of games were played in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.

Here’s how they panned out.

Kano Pillars 2-0 Go Round

Junior Lokosa’s run in front of goal continued as he scored for Pillars’ in the 2-0 defeat of Go Round at the Sani Abacha Stadium. Alassan Ibrahim netted the first goal from the spot.

Heartland 0-1 Lobi Stars

Lobi Stars earned an impressive 1-0 win at Heartland with Samad Kadiri providing the lone goal.

Abia Warriors 1-0 Kwara United

Defender Austin Obaroakpo was the hero for Abia Warriors as his sublime strike helped the home side to a slim victory against Kwara United.

Elkanemi Warriors 0-0 Niger Tornadoes

A stubborn Niger Tornadoes fought resolutely to draw goalless with El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri, Borno state.

Nasarawa United 1-0 Wikki Tourists

In the northern derby, Suleiman Muhammed delivered the killer punch for Nasarawa United who edged Wikki Tourists 1-0.

Sunshine Stars 1-1 Enugu Rangers

It ended 1-1 as Nojeem Raji and Ifeanyi George scored for Sunshine Stars and Rangers respectively.

Rivers United 1-1 FC Ifeanyi Ubah

A late spot-kick from Oche Salefu spared Rivers United’s blushes as they forced FC Ifeanyi Ubah to a 1-1 draw in Port Harcourt. Onyekachi Chidume netted for the Anambra Warriors.
