Stephen Odey scored a brace to help his side to a 2-1 victory over Plateau United on Sunday at Agege Stadium.

Odey scored his first goal with an assist from CNN goal of the week award winner, Sikiru Olatunbosun, in additional time of the first half.

Peter Eneji equalised for Plateau United in the 62nd minute but Odey restored the lead from the penalty spot after Olatunbosun was fouled in the box .

The victory pushed MFM to second on the Nigeria Professional Football League table, one point behind Plateau United.

Substitute Ifeanyi Onuigbo was the hero for FC Ifeanyi Ubah as his last-minute penalty secured a 3-2 victory against El-Kanemi Warriors.

Enyimba’s resurgence continued after playing a 1-1 draw against high-riding ABS in Ilorin while Shooting Stars’ home form failed to improve in a goalless draw against Abia Warriors.

Four-time league champions, Kano Pillars, defeated Gombe United 2-0 while Niger Tornadoes beat 10-man Akwa United 1-0.

Wikki Tourists defeated Katsina United 2-1 while the game between Lobi Stars and Nasarawa United ended goalless.
