Remo Stars games against Warri Wolves
Remo Stars defeated Warri Wolves by a solitary goal to claim maximum points in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter on Sunday.
The NPFL defending champions, playing at MKO stadium in Abeokuta, their interim home, pushed their opponents until a second half goal from Samson Olasupo secured the 1-0 win.
The Sky Blue boys pushed for an early opener with Ibrahim Abubakar going close from a free-kick. Chilekwu’s header went just wide, with Samuel Anakwe hitting the crossbar as the half ended goalless.
The Ikenne-based side continued to create chances after the break but waited until the 78th minute before they finally broke Wolves’ stubborn defence.

Olasupo latched on to Haruna Hadi’s through ball before finding the back of the net for the winner, and his second goal of the season.
The win sealed consecutive victories for Daniel Ogunmodede’s side, who are unbeaten after three matches into the new season.
They also moved joint top of the NPFL table with Wikki Tourist, both on seven points.
