A late Saidu Salisu spot-kick spared Plateau United blushes on matchday 23 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Yobe Desert Stars 0-1 Akwa United

Michael Ibeh scored a 76th-minute winner as Akwa United recorded a 1-0 victory over Yobe Desert Stars.

Plateau United 2-2 Abia Warriors

Both sides shared the spoils in a thrilling game that produced four goals.

Saidu Salisu scored from a direct free kick to beat Uche Okafor for the opener but Chinedu Efugh levelled up for the Umuahia Warriors with a sweet header.

Obi Samson silenced the roaring Jos fans when he put Warriors in the lead.

A penalty kick, taken by Salisu in the dying minutes of the game, earned the Peace Boys a point from the game.

Enyimba 2-0 Katsina United

Goals from Uche John and Joseph Osadiaye helped Enyimba defeat Katsina United 2-0.

Sunshine Stars 2-0 Nasarawa United 

Jide Fatokun and Alimi Sikiru struck to take Sunshine Stars past Nasarawa United 2-0 in Akure.

Kano Pillars 1-1 Rivers United

Junior Lokosa denied Rivers United all three points with an excellent finish, earning Kano Pillars a 1-1 draw. Osita Henry Chikere was on target for the Pride of Rivers.

Go Round FC 1-0 Lobi Stars

League leaders Lobi Stars suffered a 1-0 loss against Go Round.

The home side struck in the 69th minute when Shedrach Oghali headed the ball in from close range to give Go Round the lead.

Kwara United 1-0 FC Ifeanyi Ubah

A first half goal from Sunday Chinedu was enough to earn Kwara United a 1-0 victory over off-form FC Ifeanyi Ubah.

Niger Tornadoes 1-0 Wikki Tourists

Niger Tornadoes rode on a lone goal from Mubarak Ejiogu to defeat Wikki Tourists 1-0 at the Bako Kontagora Stadium.

Enugu Rangers 1-0 Heartland FC
