In Nnewi, FC Ifeanyi Ubah suffered a home loss as a goal from Nnamdi Mejuobi in the 29th minute was enough for the visitors to run away with the 3 points.

Plateau United 3-0 Heartland

Muhammadu Zulkifilu headed past Heartland keeper to hand Plateau United the lead at home in the 19th minute. Amos Gyang then scored from the spot after Francis Benjamin was booked for obstructing him in the 18-yard box to extend the lead.

Jesse Akila squeezed his attempt at a tight angle for the host’s third goal to compound the visitors woe.

Nabil Yarou’s 24th minute strike for the People’s Elephants was the difference between the two side.

Rivers United 3-0 Kwara Utd

Ifeanyi Anaemena doubled Rivers lead in the 32nd minute. A minute after Anaemena’s opener, Stephen Gopey brilliantly danced his way between two Kwara United’s defenders before squaring the ball to an unmarked Aguda in the six yards who then buried the ball into the net to double the Stanley Eguma boys lead. Chika Godwin came off the bench to put the game beyond the visitors in stoppage time.
