Week four of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) saw Nasarawa handing Akwa United, defending champion, their first defeat of the season.

Nasarawa United 2-0 Akwa

Michael Tochukwu and Norbert Silas’ goals in the 54th and 83rd minutes respectively handed Akwa United their first defeat in the 2021/22 NPFL campaign at the Lafia stadium.


Wikki Tourists 3-0 MFM

Wikki defeated MFM to compound the Olukoya boys’ woes in Bauchi.

Rivers 0-0 Sunshine Stars


It was a goalless affair at the Port Harcourt stadium between Rivers United and Sunshine Stars.

Kano Pillars 2-0 Enyimba

Rabiu Ali and Kokoetteh Udoh’s goals were all Kano Pillars needed against Enyimba to snatch their first win of the season.

Dakkada 1-1 Remo Stars


Dakkada and Remo stars shared the spoils in Uyo.

Rangers 4-0 Niger Tornadoes

Rangers had an emphatic 4-0 win against visiting Niger Tornadoes at the Cathedral to win all points at stake.

Plateau United 3-0 Heartland


Akila Jesse (17’), Chimezie Izuchukwu (47’), Mohammed Zulkifilu (73’) goals were all Plateau United needed to earn all points at the new Jos stadium.
