The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) says it would recommence two additional trips on the Abuja-Kaduna train service.

The corporation had cut its number of trips to one after suspected terrorists attacked the train facility on March 28, 2022.

In a statement, the NRC said the additional trips would begin on Sunday June 4, 2023.

The corporation also assured passengers of their safety with the implementation of certain measures such as social distancing and regular sanitation.

“However, on Wednesdays, only KA2 will depart Rigasa at 7 am and AK3 will depart Idu at 3 pm.”

The NRC apologised for any inconvenience its passengers may have experienced as a result of the temporary reduction in train service.

The corporation resumed train services on the route on December 5, 2022, after operations were grounded in the wake of the terrorist attack.
