Nyako sacks 12 aides

Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako has sacked 12 aides from his cabinet.

According to Mr. Kobis Thimnu, secretary to the state government, who released a statement issued in Yola, the state capital, five special advisers and seven principal special assistants were affected.

“Gov. Murtala Nyako has approved the withdrawal of the appointments of 12 political appointees with effect from May 21,’’ the statement read.

“While the government thanks you for the services you rendered, you are kindly requested to hand over government documents and property in your custody to the appropriate authorities.’’

The affected special advisers are Sanusi Jauro, Abdur-rahman Bobboi, Kelvin Peter, George Moses and Chubado Babbi; while Hadiza Kuto, Sadiq Haske, Danjuma H., Bello Njidda, Gidado Aliyu, Shehu Jacob and Usman Marafa are the principal special assistants.
