The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has extended the registration deadline for its 2025 batch C cohort.
Caroline Embu, its PR director, said NYSC extended the exercise to 11:59 pm on November 11.
The extension followed complaints by prospective corps members who could not complete their registration due to the failure of the NYSC portal.
“The management of the NYSC has noted the difficulties being faced by some prospective corps members (PCMs) in the ongoing registration for the 2025 batch ‘C’ mobilisation,” the statement reads.

“The longer-than-usual time it is taking some PCMs to complete the registration is a result of network issues.
“While management regrets the inconvenience this might have caused our valued PCMs, we wish to assure all that we are working round the clock to resolve the issues and ensure they enjoy seamless registration.”
Since November 7, prospective corps members have been raising the alarm over inability to access the NYSC portal, generating critical discourse on social media.

A user, who identified as a web developer, argued on X that the NYSC portal is crashing because it is built on an “outdated” technology stack.
He asked the agency to rebuild the portal with modern APIs, CDNs, and a proper frontend framework.
This, he added, will stop the breaking down of the portal during PCM registrations.
