Esther Ajayi, founder of Love of Christ Generation Church (LOC), says the birth of her church in Nigeria is a result of divine instruction to leave the United Kingdom (UK) and return home.

Speaking on Sunday during the grand opening and dedication of the church’s cathedral in Lagos, Ajayi thanked her husband, Ademuyiwa, for supporting her vision to start a ministry in Nigeria.

She stated that the mission of the church is to provide a spiritual environment for people all over the world to worship God.

Among the dignitaries in attendance at the event were Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); Former President Olusegun Obasanjo; Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife; Gbenga Daniel, former governor of Ogun state; Rochas Okorocha, former governor of Imo state; Abdulrosheed Adewale, Oluwo of Iwoland and Gbolahan Lawal, Oniru of IruLand.

“At this point, our reason for being here is rooted in faith and obedience to the voice of the creator of the whole universe. On October 22, 2017, the Lord spoke to me in my secret place after my morning devotion. I know his voice. I have a personal relationship and fellowship with Jesus Christ. He told me loud and clear that I should leave the United Kingdom that he wants to use me all over the world. I obeyed,” the cleric said.

“At the beginning, my husband and children said I should think about it. I said there is nothing to think about. They always say a prophet does not have honour in his own community. But I thank my creator that my honour started from my bedroom. I’ve had visions and dreams that have come to pass many times before. So, the argument was not long.

“I got to this place, an empty land. We started the foundation of this place in 2017. I want to tell you sincerely that there is power in obedience to the voice of the creator of the universe. Since I got to Nigeria in 2017, there is no stopping me. The mission is to tell the world that there is no other God except Jesus.”

While leading a prayer of unity at the ceremony, Samson Ayokunle, president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), said Nigerians need to embrace love across all ethnic groups in order to overcome the challenges facing the nation.

“If there’s anything Nigeria really needs, it’s unity. Things are falling apart bcos we are no longer at ease. If we can be united for a progressive cause in Nigeria, Nigeria will become a better place to live in. This is the right time for us to think deeply and embrace love. God is love and him, there is no hatred at all. We need love now, more than ever before.”

That’s what you will see Nigerians doing, they descend to criticism as soon as they see anything of such, without any prior thought. They even queried Baba Adeboye and other Clerics when a man posted a new non fees school opened by one man. Whereas they forgot that Baba is still providing for the needs of members and non members, The critics has never even giving alms to the poor, fanatics of sorts.
