Ovie Omo-Agege, former deputy senate president, has welcomed Sheriff Oborevwori, governor of Delta, into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
On April 23, Oborevwori and Ifeanyi Okowa, his immediate predecessor, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the APC.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Omo-Agege said Oborevwori’s defection, alongside leaders and members of the PDP in Delta, marked a significant milestone in the growth of the APC in the state.
The ex-deputy senate president, a leader of the APC in Delta state, described the move as a testament to the success of President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda in promoting national development and prosperity.
