Zanna Ibrahim, commissioner of police Delta state, says the two mobile policemen arrested for misconduct are still in custody.

Ibrahim denied the report that they had been released, saying such information was capable of misleading the public.

Explaining that the command had been transparent in its dealings with the public, the police boss said he would not tolerate any act of indiscipline.

Ibrahim said Celestina Kalu, spokeswoman of the command, who was allegedly contacted in the report was on leave and had no information on the matter.

The officers – Musa Edon and Idide Oreva –  of Mobile Police Unit 31 in Ogwashi Ogwashi-Uku, Delta, were accused of kidnapping one Umukoro Daniel.
