The Ogun government has placed a N50 million bounty on the killers of Taiwo Oyekanmi, a director of finance in the office of Dapo Abiodun, governor of the state.

In November, armed men reportedly waylaid a bullion van conveying Oyekanmi after he left the branch of a bank in Abeokuta, the state capital.

The gunmen were said to have gunned him down alongside other occupants of the van in the Kuto area of Abeokuta.

Abiodun Alamutu, the commissioner of police in Ogun, said the group went to the bank without a police escort.
