Abraham Bankole, a traditional ruler in Ogun, has been crushed to death by a truck.

According to NAN, Bankole, who was the Olu of Onibuku in Ado-Odo/Ota LGA, was hit while he was alighting from a tricycle at the Ota-Idiroko expressway, close to Winners Chapel.

The report said he died immediately from the accident.

Adekunle Ajibade, the commander of the state Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) in Sango-Ota, blamed the incident on “dangerous and reckless driving” by the truck driver.

He said the corpse of the traditional ruler has been deposited at the state hospital in Ota.

Ajibade, who described the accident as avoidable, cautioned motorists against reckless driving.

In March, a commercial motorcyclist and his passenger died after they collided with a truck at the Bible College area on the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.
