Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare-Ighoteguonor finished second in 10.80s, her Season’s Best, behind world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce who ran a World Lead to win the women’s 100m in 10.74s at the Paris Diamond League.

The Jamaican was the clear favourite before the race just days after winning the Jamaican trials in breathtaking fashion with a 10.79s finish.

It wasn’t the best of start for Okagbare, but she recovered nicely to secure second place with her best finish this year.

America’s English Gardener finished third in 10.97s with Dafne Schippers fourth in 11.02s. Murielle Ahoure was fifth in 11.04s.
