Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), says ‘Making It Big’, a book by Femi Otedola, chairman of First HoldCo, will inspire young African entrepreneurs.
On July 17, the businessman announced that the long-anticipated book will officially launch on August 18.
Otedola had also hinted that he would share key lessons from his entrepreneurial journey to inspire Nigeria’s next generation of business leaders.
In her review of the book, Okonjo-Iweala said only a few successful African entrepreneurs have documented their stories and shared valuable lessons for future generations.

She said Otedola’s memoir offers inspiration and guidance to young African entrepreneurs eager to learn from successful business leaders.
“When Femi Otedola, one of Nigeria’s and Africa’s most successful entrepreneurs, decides to capture his experiences in the form of this book, it is important!,” she said.
“As the author himself notes, there are few books by successful African business leaders documenting their journey and sharing lessons learned for posterity, but in particular for a younger generation.”
