Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has said no player is irreplaceable in the national team.

Lille of France goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, missed Nigeria’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nation’s qualifier against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in Dar es Salaam on Saturday as well as the international friendly against Niger Republic in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

Carl Ikeme of English championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers put up a brilliant showing in his absence.

And Oliseh refused to affirm if Enyeama could reclaim his place in the team on his return.

“Nobody is irreplaceable except the country, Nigeria. I retired from the national side and the team continues,” he told supersport.com after the 2-0 win over Niger.

“Ikeme and few new ones came in and put up good performances in both matches against Tanzania and Niger.

“There is room for the likes of Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, among others as long as they demonstrate commitment to play for Nigeria,” said the former Nigerian captain to supersport.com.

Oliseh praised the team after the win.

“It’s important we win and win as more organised side. We did not go into the pitch to merely engage the Nigeriens but to play for ourselves,” he said.

“We are better today (Tuesday) against Niger than Saturday’s Afcon clash in Dar es Salaam against Tanzania.

“We were better organised and I think we dictated the pace of the game though I will love to see more of it in subsequent matches.”
