Ishaq Oloyede says at least 17 persons, including JAMB officials, are facing prosecution by law enforcement agencies over various infractions related to the mobilisation of graduates for national service.
The JAMB registrar addressed graduates at the 2025 Batch ‘C’ pre-mobilisation workshop of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) held in Abuja on Monday.
Oloyede said the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board urged participants at the workshop to avoid data manipulation.
He said those being prosecuted are facing charges for offences concerning admission, graduation, and mobilisation for national service.

The JAMB registrar advised student affairs officers to always ensure the integrity of the process by getting their prospective corps member data directly from JAMB.
Earlier, Olakunle Nafiu, the NYSC DG, had restated the scheme’s zero tolerance for any act of fraud in the mobilisation process.
The DG identified data manipulation, identity theft, inconsistent data from corps-producing institutions, and the proliferation of unauthorised higher institutions as key challenges in the mobilisation process.

“NYSC will continue to apply sanctions wherever such unethical practices are discovered,” he said.
“We must be conscious of the fact that the strength of our mobilisation system will depend not only on technology, but also on ethics, discipline, and professionalism of those who handle the technology.
“Let us continue to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and zero tolerance for compromise.
“Every Nigerian graduate who wears the NYSC uniform must be genuinely qualified and properly verified.”
