Ola Olukoyede, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is billed to deliver the keynote address at a high-level policy dialogue focused on Nigeria’s troubled real estate ecosystem.

The event, convened by Law Corridor, a Nigerian law firm, is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, August 6, in Abuja.

According to the organisers, the policy dialogue will bring together stakeholders from across the public and private sectors to address recurring challenges in the real estate sector — including illegal property transactions, the activities of unlicensed agents and developers, regulatory loopholes, and the growing threat of money laundering.

The event is part of Law Corridor’s quarterly policy engagement series, which aims to shape legislative and institutional reforms through multi-sectoral dialogue.

Richard Yunana Dauda, acting executive secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), will be among the speakers. Others expected at the event include Oyetola Muyiwa Atoyebi, managing partner of Omaplex Law Firm; Kehinde Ogunwumiju, managing partner of Afe Babalola & Co; and Harry Erin, director of the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML).

The organisers said a comprehensive policy brief capturing key insights, recommendations, and a reform roadmap will be published after the dialogue and presented to relevant ministries and agencies for action.
