Favour Ofili will compete in the women’s 200 meters final at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Tuesday.

On Monday, the 21-year-old sprinter became the first Nigerian to qualify for the event’s final in 28 years.

Nigeria has not been represented in the women’s 200m final at the games since Mary Onyali achieved the feat in Atlanta ’96.

Ofili dipped 22.05 seconds to finish second in heat 1 of the semi-finals.
