Ondo senator involved in road crash
Nicholas Tofowomo, lawmaker representing Ondo south senatorial district, was involved in a car accident on Friday.
TheCable gathered that the accident happened at Igbara-Oke town around 12 mid-day.
Tofowomo, Banji Okunomo, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) publicity secretary in the state, and two other members of the party were heading to Lagos when the accident happened.
A source said the lawmaker and others involved in the crash are currently receiving treatment at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Ondo.
“The senator was involved in an accident on his way to Lagos after he gave out appointment letters to his aides at Ore,” the source said.
“He and others were rushed to the hospital immediately and two of those involved in the accident have been taken to the theatre for surgery.”
