One dead, two injured as explosion hits Kaduna community
One person was confirmed dead, while two others sustained injuries following an explosion that occurred in Badarawa area of Kaduna state, on Saturday.
Muhammad Jalige, spokesman of the Kaduna police command, confirmed the incident on Saturday evening.
It is not yet clear what caused the explosion.
According to NAN, the police command spokesperson said the incident occurred around 4:30pm.
He added that the victims were taken to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna, for treatment, where one of them was confirmed dead.
He also noted that one of the victims has been discharged after receiving treatment, while the third affected resident is still in the hospital.
Jalige added that the command has commenced investigation into the incident, noting that “its outcome would be made public upon completion of the exercise”.
