President Bola Tinubu has celebrated Olusegun Adeniyi, former spokesperson to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, on his 60th birthday.
In a congratulatory message on Thursday, Tinubu praised Adeniyi for his contributions to journalism and scholarship, describing him as one of the nation’s “prolific chroniclers”.
“As a journalist and one of our nation’s most read columnists, you have set the pace for disciplined conversations and informed commentary,” the president said.
“You have also remained a significant voice and conscience of many Nigerians through your dispassionate treatises on developments in our nation.”

The president noted that Adeniyi kept the rubric of journalism as chairman of the editorial board of ThisDay newspaper, adding that the fourth estate of the realm is fortunate to have him as a member.
Tinubu commended him for his service to the late President Yar’Adua, noting that he has a knack for excellence.
“I pray that as you celebrate your diamond jubilee, God Almighty will grant you many years of good health,” he added.
