Chris Green, chairman of the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has debunked reports that the federation will be unveiling a new foreign technical adviser for the Super Eagles this week.
Green claimed that he is not anywhere in Europe or heading a delegation to bring in any foreign based coach to Nigeria, as being speculated.
Rather, Green is in Ghana as a match commissioner for the U-20 African Youths Championship (AYC) qualifier between Ghana and Ethiopia.
“There is no truth in that story of the NFF unveiling any foreign coach this week,” he told TheCable.
“We’ve not been in touch with any coach be it foreign or otherwise. It sounds very funny when I read the story that I am to travel to have a talk with the said foreign based coach.
“How is that possible when I am in Cape Coast, Ghana to commission a match?
“The story is unfounded and very untrue. NFF is not unveiling any coach this week. This I can assure you and I am aware of, too.”
