Naomi Osaka, a tennis star from Japan, on Saturday morning defeated Jennifer Brady, her USA counterpart, to claim her second Australian Open women’s title.

The 23-year-old Japanese player won her first major at Melbourne Park in 2019.

The world no. 3 won the 53rd edition in the Open Era in a two set of 6-4, 6-3 to claim her fourth Grand Slam title.

Osaka was largely untroubled by Brady in closing out the match in an hour and 20 minutes.

Just like the 2020 US Open semi final clash between both side, Osaka came out top, winning in a pulsating three-set battle.

The now four-time grand slam champion has extended her winning streak to 21, with her last defeat came on February 7, 2020.

Osaka has now prevailed in three of the pair’s four meetings.
