Oshiomhole appoints 4 permanent secretaries on last day in office
Adams Oshiomhole, outgoing governor of Edo state, has appointed four new permanent secretaries.
Peter Okhiria, chief press secretary of the governor, disclosed this in a statement.
Oshiomhole will be handing over power to Godwin Obaseki, winner of the September governorship poll, later on Friday.
But Obaseki and Philip Shaibu, his deputy, will be sworn at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, the state capital, in on Saturday.
Cromwell Idahosa, the chief judge, will administer the oath of office upon them.
Okhiria listed the new appointees as Anthony Okungbowa (ministry of justice), Kadiri Bashiru (secretary, Nigeria Labour Congress), Y.A Imoudu, (chairman, Association of Secondary School Principals), and Obosamwinye Obazee ( headmistress).
