Oshiomhole fires commissioner for commerce
Adams Oshiomhole, governor of Edo state, has terminated the appointment of Abdul Oroh, the state commissioner for commerce and industry.
Peter Okhiria, chief press secretary to the governor, confirmed this, saying the sack was with “immediate effect.
Okhrika said the commissioner was dropped “in the public interest.”
The governor thanked Oroh for his “invaluable services to the state”, wishing him well in his future endeavours.
Oshiomhole has approved the appointment of Kerry Emokpare as commissioner-designate.
Oroh had earlier served in the ministry of agriculture and natural resources before he was moved to the commerce ministry.
