Asisat Oshoala, Super Falcons captain, says Barcelona is the best club side she has ever played for.

Oshoala, who netted her second hat trick for the Lluis Cortes side in FC Barcelona Femeni away win against Logrono on Saturday, told TheCable that the club helped her to improve her game than any other side she had played for.

The four-time African women’s footballer of the year also bagged an assist in the 6-0 bashing of Logrono.

“I will say yes. That they are the best I have ever played for because this club [Barcelona] has actually helped me to improve more as a player than ever,” Oshoala told TheCable.

The 25-year old, who was tagged as “one of the best young player in the world” by Matt Beard, Liverpool’s manager in 2015, admitted that she’s ecstatic about scoring her first ever twenty goals in a season.

With her hat trick on Saturday, she is tied with Jenni Hermoso on the Primera Iberdrola, her team mate, on the topscorer chart with 20 goals.

“I feel really happy not because I am tied with my team mate but because it’s my first time scoring 20 goals in a season,” she said.

The former Arsenal forward attributed her current form to hard work and team mates.

“Well, I will just say it’s hard work and dedication plus having a great team around me that has really helped me improve a lot in every aspect of the game,” she said.

“Personally, I just want to win every trophy my team compete for. Personal glories are not my priority.”

Oshoala has scored 20 goals in 19 league matches and 26 in 24 games in all competitions so far in the 2019/20 season.

She had plied her trade with Rivers Angels in Nigeria, Liverpool, Arsenal and Dalian Quanjian F.C. before joining Barcelona.
