Victor Osimhen scored a brace as Galatasaray defeated Trabzonspor 3-0 to win the 2024/25 Turkish Cup.

The 26-year-old scored two second-half goals in a one-sided final at the Gaziantep Stadium on Wednesday.

Baris Yilmiz scored the game’s first goal in the fifth minute, assisted by Yunus Akgun from an attack started by Osimhen.

After the halftime break, Osimhen was the finisher. Akgun threaded a through ball into the striker’s path inside the Trabzonspor goal area. Osimhen bodied a defender to take the pass in his stride before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.

Osimhen’s second goal came in the 63rd minute. He wrapped up a fast counterattack with a simple tap-in.

The strikes increased Osimhen’s tally with Galatasaray to 35 goals in 39 games. He scored 24 goals in the Super Lig, three in the Europa League, and five in the Turkish Cup.

The Turkish Cup triumph is Osimhen’s first trophy with Galatasaray — the club’s 19th.
