TheCable reported that Osimhen first tested positive to COVID-19 on January 1, 2021.

The Italian side also said that another test will be conducted on Osihmen on Friday to confirm his COVID-19 status.

The former Lille player was listed in the 28-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) slated for Cameroon in less than eleven days.

Osimhen’s availability for the AFCON has raised some dust as he is currently recovering from a face injury.
